Dains Interview Questions

The Dains graduate assessment procedure is as follows:

• Handwritten application
• Assessment day partner interview

Application

Dains specify that all applicants must submit a covering letter in their own handwriting, with their online application.

Assessment Day

Starts with written psychometric tests – followed by two short interviews with different managers.

Then lunch is provided – first you are joined by some partners and managers then by some trainees

During this time they mark the tests and discuss – if you do well enough you will have two short interviews with partners

This completes the day – you will be informed of the outcome within five days

Questions

You will be asked a few competency questions followed by them asking:

• Talk about an accounting-related news story
• Why do you want to work for Dains

You will also be asked to comment on a newspaper article and will be expected to give your answers in light of how Dains can help those entities that are affected, i.e. what services can Dains offer to assist them

Psychometric Test

As with the majority of employers, Dains use paper-based verbal reasoning and numeracy tests during the assessment day, courtesy of Kenexa.
