Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Vacation Placements

Freshfields runs three summer vacation schemes each year, which are three weeks in length.

These placements are open only to students in their penultimate year at university, and the deadlline for applications is in January of each year.

Applications should be made on the firm's online application form. The application and interview process for vacation schemes is the same as the process for training contracts.

Interns spend three weeks at the firm during which they sit in one of the London office's eight departments:

  • Antitrust, Competition and Trade (ACT)
  • Corporate
  • Dispute Resolution
  • Employment, Pensions and Benefits (EPB)
  • Finance
  • Intellectual Property/Information Technology (IP/IT)
  • Real Estate
  • Tax

During the three weeks you will:

  • Undertake a research task (given to you by a partner)
  • Plan and execute a group project (with fellow students)
  • Take part in a one-day mock transaction (with fellow students)

The salary for the three week scheme is £825 (net).
